This class is for students who are new to chess or have very limited experience with the game. The class will introduce the fundamentals of chess, including the rules, piece movement, and the basic objectives of play. For this semester, I will teach them chess etiquette, the foundations of strategy and tactics, and ways to begin developing strong habits as chess players. The class will encourage students to enjoy the game while building confidence and creating a solid foundation for future growth.
